On January 7th, the Second Symposium on Internationalization of Higher Education with the theme of "Internet + Higher Education Internationalization: Opportunities and Challenges" was held at the International Curriculum Laboratory of the International Business College(IBC).

Co-organized by Education Internationalization Research Center of South China Normal University (SCNU), Nanhai Campus Management Committee and IBC, Professor Wu Jianli, Dean of IBC presided over the symposium. Moreover, Professor Wu Jian, Vice President of South China Normal University; Feng Zengjun, Director of the Education Modernization Research Center and professor from the School of Education in Sun Yat-sen University; as well as Xu Fuyin, the member of Discipline Evaluation Group of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Professor from the School of Information Technology in Education of SCNU were invited to the symposium and delivered keynote speeches respectively.

Among them, combining with the current situation of the colleges in Nanhai Campus. Professor Feng Zengjun discussed the issue of their international development positioning by expounding three concepts of "Internet+", "Intelligence Education" and "International Education". Professor Xu Fuyin offered suggestions for the 13th Five-Year Plan of the campus from the aspects of "Internet +", "Education Informatization", "Construction of Four Platforms" and "University Internationalization Indicators". Finally, Vice President Wu Jian made a concluding speech and proposed that the international development of Nanhai campus requires collaboration with local governments. This is also a critical part of school’s 13th Five-Year Plan. In addition to the foregoing experts, the director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office Dai Shu,; Dean of College of Vocational and Technical Education Chen Wei; leaders from Nanhai Campus Management Committee, School of Urban Culture, School of Software together with the faculty of IBC were attended the symposium.
