Grade 2018 Graduate Students Participated in China-Africa Cultural Exchange Activities on University-Enterprise Cooperation

On April 12, 2019, the project of China-Africa Cultural Exchange Center in Pingzhou, Foshan was successfully launched. The event was co-sponsored by Guangdong Trade Promotion Association and Weihe International Association for two days. As the school-enterprise cooperation unit, Graduate 2018 students actively participated in this activity, and undertook translation, interpretation and other voluntary work.

On April 12, a group of high-level delegation from the Angolan government arrived in Guangzhou, who came to visit Foshan high-tech enterprises. Our graduate students provided translation services. The companies visited were Foshan National High-tech Zone Chuangzhigang Incubator, Foday Automotive, LandBond Furniture, Lingwang Elevator, Mona Lisa Ceramics. During the visit, students and guests together learned the development history and advantages of Foshan well-known enterprises, while personally experiencing production process and management of workshop in this factory with theory combined with practice, which has opened up their horizon, and improved students' understanding of the management and development of enterprises.

On April 13, the Angola Special Economic Zone Investment Forum was successfully held at the Sunshine Hotel in Guangzhou. At the meeting, a group of high-level delegation from Angola Government shared information on investment opportunities, new incentives measures, interpretation of the landing policy, and highlighted information on Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone. Our graduate students served as conference volunteers, extending classroom knowledge to practical activities.

Talent cultivation of graduate students from our college put more emphasis in the integration of curriculum learning and practice. In this voluntary service activity, students have been praised by merchants and organizers with solid, high-level business English oral translation skills, decent etiquette, working attitude of diligence and self-disciplined. At the same time, through this activity, students could also increase the relevant knowledge of enterprise development and policy understanding in these practice activities in order to strengthen professional learning research in practice and improve the level of academic research.
