The International Business College Celebrated the University's 85th Anniversary with a Series of Activities

On the morning of November 10, the International Business College celebrated the 10th anniversary of partnership with University of Aberdeen, UK and Curtin University, Australia on the IBC lawn. Professor Bryan Macgregor, Senior Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen; Professor Seth Kunin, Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University; Professor Justin Daffron, President’s Assistant of St. Louis University; faculty representatives from University of Aberdeen, Curtin University, alumni representatives and nearly 100 students and faculty members of the International Business College all attended the celebration. The celebration was presided over by Li Xinqiang, Secretary of the IBC Party Branch. Secretary Li introduced the internationalization progress of our college, especially with  University of Aberdeen and Curtin University. Dean Wu Jianli expressed her sincere gratitude to overseas partners for their strong support over the years and extended greetings to the alumni who have contributed their youth and strength in all walks of life since their graduation from our college. Subsequently, representatives of alumni from University of Aberdeen and Curtin University expressed their gratitude to their alma mater to Professor Bryan Macgregor, Professor Seth Kunin and Dean Wu Jianli.

On the day of the celebration, nearly 100 alumni of the International Business College returned to their alma mater to participate in the celebration, and each department held a separate communication exchange. Among them, the meeting of financial management department was held at the library cinema, and the Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University, the Dean of the International Academy and the Alumni of Curtin University were invited as the representatives. At the meeting, Seth Kunin, Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University highlighted the development of Curtin University and the cooperation model between SCNU-Curtin class, while alumni representatives of Curtin University shared their experiences and insights from studying in Australia. Finance department held a special exchange for returning alumni at IBC's learning center, where four returned alumni from University of Aberdeen shared their feelings about studying in the UK and their experiences in the financial industry with their juniors of Finance Department. French department organized seminars for teachers, students and alumni in the International Curriculum Laboratory and invited foreign teachers from French department to participate. Study abroad program held seminars separately in each classroom. The program's faculty and administrators, together with returning alumni from Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom, have conducted special study-aboard planning and academic guidance for all the students.

To celebrate the university's 85th anniversary, the International Business College held a number of lectures and sharing sessions from returning alumni from University of Aberdeen, San Francisco State University, Curtin University, Novancia Business School in France, etc., covering topics such as "Real Estate Investment Decision- Urban Renewal, Old Town Transformation," " Great Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Economic and Industrial Development Opportunities," "Internet Plus B-side Ecological Development Opportunities" and "The Multi-Life of French People", Which not only enriched the content of celebration activities, but also gave students more intuitive and specific guidance from the perspective of academy and profession.
