Four Graduate Students from IBC Received the Funding from SCNU's Top Graduate Students Overseas Joint Training Program

Recently, the list of “2019 South China Normal University’s Top Graduate Students Overseas Joint Training Project” was announced. Grade 2018 graduate students from master of vocational and technical education: Zhang Linxin, Xie Guang, Bai Jiayu and Zhou Mengmeng were recommended by IBC. And they successfully passed the written test and interview of SCNU, and obtained to the project funding.

The "South China Normal University's Top Graduate Students Overseas Joint Training Project" was set up to further enhance the internationalization level of our graduate education and train top talents with strong scientific research capabilities and international perspective. Each year, our university selects a group of outstanding students among the graduate students to study at the high-level universities abroad for more than half a year. Someone who have been selected for this project, SCNU will fund a scholarship of RMB 50,000 per person with additional international travel fee of RMB 30,000-50,000 per person.

The successful selection of four graduate students in IBC was an important step towards internationalization of graduate personnel training in our college, and also benefited from our college's cultivation and development in the internationalization of education over the years. Our college has always adhered to the international concept of school-running, and constantly expanded cooperation with the high-level foreign institutions, established educational exchanges and cooperation, and built up practical teaching platform at home and abroad. Through cooperation training, resources-sharing and other forms, the introduction of high-quality educational resources, is committed to providing students with an East-West cultural integration of overseas learning and exchange platform. The internationalization of graduate talent training is one of the characteristics of our graduate training. This time, the receiving party of our graduate students is San Francisco State University, which has been our cooperative partners for more than ten years. Every year, graduate students from IBC will go to this university for study and exchange. The application and development of joint training project of graduate students has been strongly supported by San Francisco State University, which will provide related international business learning and research opportunities for our graduate students in the field of business English. Students in this project, on the one hand, will improve communication skills in English, On the other hand, they will learn and study related international business courses and programs, which plays a positive role in achieving the goal of training "bi-expertise" teachers with the international perspective.
