In response to the relevant arrangements for the first teaching festival of South China Normal University, our college held the preliminaries of the "Youth teaching Competition" of South China Normal University and the second International Business College teaching skills competition on the afternoon of November 21, 2019. The competition is divided into "economic management group" and "language group". Professor Zhang Hongyan of Jinan University, Professor Michele Doray of Curtin University Language Center of Australia, and Professor Béatrice Bouvier Laffitte of the Catholic University of Angers in France were invited to serve as the judges of this competition.

        At 2 o’clock in the afternoon, all participating teacher judges gathered in the academic lecture hall of the International Business College. Dean Wu Jianli gave the opening and speech of the competition. She said that the school pays particular attention to young teachers. The development of young teachers is closely related to the development of the school. Therefore, the college places high hopes on young teachers and wishes the competition a complete success.

        After the opening ceremony, the two groups of participating teachers competed in the corresponding venues. There are 9 teachers in the "Economic Management Group" from the Department of Financial Management and Finance; the "Language Group" has a total of 11 teachers, composed of teachers from the French Department and the Language Center. After careful preparation, the participating teachers showed lively and interesting classroom teaching situations from three aspects: teaching design, classroom teaching and teaching reflection, showing the vigor and vitality of young teachers. A total of 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 6 third prizes were contested in this competition.

       Since last year, the International Business College began to hold a teaching skills competition, taking undergraduate education as the foundation of the college’s development, and promoting the reform of undergraduate classroom teaching by organizing various forms of teaching skills exchange. At the same time, we also take the opportunity of the college's young teacher teaching competition to promote the teaching experience exchanges of the college teachers in an all-round and multi-level manner, and further enhance the international teaching level of our college.
