In order to further implement the training plan and teaching arrangement of the undergraduate financial professional program held by SCNU and the University of Aberdeen, evaluate the specific operation of the program, discuss the student training model and related rules for further education, Mark Whittington, Dean of the University of Aberdeen Business School and Harminder Battu, director of international programs, visited the International Business College on March 3. Both parties held a regular meeting of the program management committee for this semester. Dean Wu Jianli of the International Business College, Vice Dean Yun Qiaoyun, Director Chen Huan of the College Office, and Deputy Director Ma Zanjun of the Department of Finance and other relevant personnel received Dean Mark Whittington and his crew.

At the meeting, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on foreign teachers' teaching in China, student training, teacher exchanges, enrollment promotion, quality control, student practice base construction, and amendment of supplementary agreement terms. The meeting achieved the expected results.

According to the requirements and teaching arrangements of the agreement between the two parties, Mark Whittington and Harminder Battu will teach Financial Market and Global Economy in English for the 2015 and 2016 students of finance.

South China Normal University and the University of Aberdeen jointly organized the finance undergraduate program, which was approved by the Ministry of Education in October 2014. As the only Chinese-Foreign cooperative education program approved by the Ministry of Education, the teaching and management of the Aberdeen Finance program is jointly undertaken by the International Business College of SCNU and the Business School of University of Aberdeen. In addition to the regular meeting of the program management committee held every semester, the University of Aberdeen assigns 2 to 4 foreign professional course professors to the International Business School every semester.
