In April 2017, the first Teaching Supervision Committee of our college was formally established. The first three supervisors appointed were: Professor Chen Honglei, Vice Dean of the International College of Jinan University, the Vice Chairman of the Teaching Supervision Committee of Economics and Trade majors in Guangdong Province, the Director and doctoral Supervisor of the Department of International Economics and Trade of Jinan University; Professor Zhang Hongyan, professor of the School of Foreign Languages of Jinan University and senior examiner of Cambridge Business English. Professor Liu Bo, professor of Foreign Literature and Culture Research Center (key humanities and social science base in Guangdong Province) of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and doctoral supervisor majoring in French language and literature.
In recent years, while striving for diversified development, we have not forgotten that teaching is the foundation and firmly believes that the quality of teaching is the top priority of the college’s development. Therefore, based on the “Work Regulations of the Teaching Supervision Committee of South China Normal University (revised in 2015)” and the “Regulations on Classroom Teaching Management of South China Normal University”, combined with the school's own characteristics, IBC specially formulated the “Responsibilities for Supervision of International Business College” and we also hire high-level professors outside the school who are suitable for the teaching and professional characteristics of our college to serve as supervisors, hoping to improve the quality of teaching under their guidance and enhance the teaching and research capabilities of the teachers in the college.
The college’s teaching supervision committee system is one of the important measures for International Business College’s international teaching evaluation, which will provide objective and effective support for the school’s discipline construction, curriculum construction and teacher training.
