On September 18th, the International Business College held a simple and grand ceremony in the conference room, and specially appointed Professor Claude Germain as Emeritus Professor of IBC.

The appointment ceremony was presided over by the head of the French Department, David Bel. The big screen showed a photo review of Professor Claude Germain’s professional training, teaching and lectures in French over the years. In her speech, Wu Jianli, Dean of the International Business College, said that Professor Claude Germain has visited our university many times every year during the eight years since 2009 to train teachers in Nanhai campus in teaching methodology, and trained a group of excellent teachers with outstanding abilities. Through in-depth research on teaching objects and teaching environment, this teaching methodology can better adapt to the teaching environment and requirements of Chinese universities. He has made outstanding contributions to the construction of foreign language majors, especially the French major. Although Claude Germain is nearly eighty years old, his passion for education, his positive and optimistic spirit, and his dedication are worthy of the learning of the faculty of IBC. Subsequently, Dean Wu Jianli issued a letter of appointment to Professor Claude Germain, and Secretary Li Xinqiang issued a souvenir.

      Professor Claude Germain, the founder of the teaching methodology of neurolinguistics, has received doctoral degrees from the University of Marseilles in France and Stanford University in the United States. He has been employed as a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor by the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and has twice received a national grant from the Canadian federal government.
