Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Gave academic presentation to faculty and students of International Business College

On September 25th, The International Business College invited Professor Peter A. Gloor, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, to give an academic presentation on "Social Quantum Physics" to teachers and students at the International Course Lab, with more than 50 teachers and students attending this lecture from the major of financial management and finance. Vice Dean,Yun Qiaoyun presided over the lecture. Associate Deans Chai Shaoming and Zhuang Huixuan also attended this lecture.

Professor Gloor is a professor at MIT's Sloan School of Management, a scientist at the Center for Collective Intelligence, and also the Mercator professor at the University of Cologne in Germany. He is the founder and chief creative officer of Galaxy Advisors and Condor Software, and the director of the Collaborative Innovation Network Project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. His research focuses on analyzing social networking patterns on the Internet and finding trend-setters to discover the next big thing, helping customers to capture up-to-date development trends and succeed through online social networks.

In his lecture, Professor Gloor first introduced the theory of networking, and his research presented the concepts of Swarm Creativity and Collaborative Innovation Networks, focusing on the characteristics and functions of CIN, and analyzed how to analyze learning and innovation by using social networking analysis methods. He presented social media analysis frameworks and tool technologies for measuring and tracking collective awareness within organizations and on the Internet, and showed how they could use the social networking analysis tool they developed, Condor, to analyze and study group behavior, their satisfaction and creativity by analyzing communication records via online social media, such as e-mail and chat records by staff within the organization.

        Professor Gloor interacted with teachers and students after his lecture. Students asked some very interesting questions, and the professor answered these questions honestly, encouraging students to read and learn his research literature and works, which they could do some research in the future.
